in the past week i've seen two people wearing Alabama t-shirts. the first time we were walking down the street and this guy was walking towards us and we just started getting really excited and yelling, "Roll Tide!" the poor man looked completely terrified and clearly didn't speak english, ha. just imagine, you're calmly walking down the street and two people just start pointing at you and yelling in a language you don't know! haha. it was hilarious. we saw the other guy yesterday while at a rest stop on our way back form Haifa (about 2 hours north. we went swimming in the mediterranean sea and went to a worship night for hebrew youth). once again i started saying, "Roll Tide!" and waving my arms in the air and i just got a blank stare in response. he spoke english but apparently didn't know about the "roll tide." he said it was his friends shirt.

jana did an internship in kc with this guy joel, who is an israeli and now lives here. he's in the army but has the weekends off so he's been inviting us to things when he comes to jerusalem. it's been so sweet of the lord to give us a local connection. eight of us piled in this hilarious van with no ac for a two hour trek to the beach and worship night.. good times :) swimming in the mediterranean was amazing and beautiful! such a sweet gift! still cant believe i'm here.

(not our exact van, but this is what it looked like)
