But God..

L is a former muslim from Bethany who is now a believer. He is probably 60 or so and over the years has had a lot of health problems. Last week they found out that 3 of his arteries were clogged and they were giving him days to live, even with surgery. The statistics show only 1-2% of people recover from the surgery. We prayed for him last night at the Monday night meeting that L would live and be a testimony to the true living God to the doctors, his family and the city of Bethany. He had surgery Sunday and afterwards was in a coma state. While in that state he said a gold hand came down and touched his heart. When the doctors came in to check on him he stood up!! Just like Jesus raised Lazarus, who was from Bethany, He raised L! The hospital released him on Monday and straight from the hospital his son brought him to the Monday night meeting! A miracle right before our eyes!
L has vision for a prayer room in Bethany and for it to be the first muslim town to be completely converted to Jesus! It's going to be exciting to see what the Lord does through this man and his family. His teenage son also shared some from the Elav Youth Conference they had this past summer. Muslims, Christians and Jews were all gathered there praying and blessing each other! Another miracle and powerful testimonies of healing, deliverance and salvation!

Don Finto, the author of "Your People shall be My People," spoke last night. The gist of what he talked about : It is really important to feed ourselves on what God is doing and the truth of His word! Certainly it is ok to watch the news and be informed about what is going on, but we have to be careful not to just hold onto that and let fear into our hearts. Yes, bad things are happening and will be increasing, but just like matthew 13 says, the wheat and the tares grow up together. Even though lawlessness is abounding, righteousness is as well. In iran there are now 2 million believers! A couple from here moved to afganistan to start a house of prayer with no known believers in the area. Since they've been there many people have come to know Jesus, including govnt leaders in the area! Yes, hard times are coming and terrible things might be happening BUT GOD is pouring out His Spirit all over the earth!! And His judgments are done in righteousness and justice and full of mercy. We have to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus (Romans 12:2). The word says we should "not be alarmed" in that day... the reality of it is certain things have to happen for Jesus to return. We are living in the greatest hour of history. Be encouraged! God created us to be alive during the generation that would begin to usher in Jesus' return to the earth. Wow! All of us have a role to play. Everyone is needed. Thank you, Lord!
